What's New:

09/30/2003
Well, a few things have happened since the last update. Actually, a lot. The kids are doing well, Shari and I have both been quite busy with work and the family. We've made it through more ice storms and relaxed again in the Caribbean. We've now packed up and moved back to Texas to be closer to family. We will have fond memories of North Carolina and will miss our friends there. I am moving on with new projects and challenges here in Texas. If you're visiting from NC, drop me an e-mail and let me know what's new there!

We've moved the website to a new server, hopefully things will be as smooth as ever! The address remains the same - www.akushwaha.com. Kara recently celebrated her first birthday as the update in the album will show. Her big sister picked the site of the party as you can tell. Anya has been an active attendee to several birthday parties now, and is making notes for her own in a few more weeks. More details later...

01/2/2002
The new year again comes with a snow storm...you'd think this was a common occurrence here in North Carolina. Anya is more thrilled than ever by the snow, except now to play and build in it more than eating it like before. Kara seems mystified by it, content to just look at it. There are a few more pictures in the album with more to come.

08/29/2001
We have returned from the California coast, and things are back to business as usual. Kara continues her constant feeding frenzy, weighing in at 17lbs 4oz at her 4 month check-up. Anya is simply continuing her frenzy - it's a full-time job keeping her out of trouble. There are new pictures of everyone up in the photo section.

07/22/2001
Another update...Kara is getting huge - 95 percentile on weight after a very modest beginning. She is not quite the camera-hound her sister is, but I've managed to sneak a few pictures of her anyways. We've made much progress with the Kushwaha family tree - expect a working section soon.

05/14/2001
The updates to the photo albums are now up. Anya has been a wonderful big sister and Kara has been busy doing her job - fattening up and getting bigger.

04/26/2001
Here's announcing the latest addition to the house - Kara Nina Kushwaha, born today at 4:44pm weighing in at 7 lbs 12 oz and 19 1/2" in length. Stay tuned for updates in the photo albums!

03/19/2001
So far so good - all is well in the "house" on and off the web. The next addition to the house is due in a month and a half, and Shari is hoping it will stick to schedule. We still don't know if it's a boy or a girl yet - we'll have to find out the old fashioned way. Anya in the meantime is advancing nicely from the terrible twos right into the more terrible threes. She'll officially be there this coming June. Included in this update is the very first picture Anya has ever taken - completely unassisted at that.

02/21/2001
Wow, another update, so soon? OK, a little sarcasm. Let's just say I've been preoccupied a bit with work and other activities. I've been experimenting for a while being a solo hospitalist, and I don't recommend this. In addition to now recruiting some more members for my group, I've actually taken a few more pictures of Anya. In a few short months, we should be adding a new volume to the baby albums!

10/19/2000
A flurry of activity with the updates recently. Anya has returned from a quick visit to San Antonio to visit the grandparents and has the pictures to prove it! She was fortunate to have visited the same time as her aunt Anita, uncle Rainer, and cousin Jasmine...a good time was had by all!

10/10/2000
I actually got a couple of updates in here pretty quickly. I'm making a few minor cosmetic changes here and there just to change things around a bit...new pictures are constantly being added to the albums - hopefully I'll be able to keep updating them this frequently.

10/3/2000
What's new? Well, all kinds of stuff...that also means things have been on hold here on the website, and now, finally, there is a bit of a facelift...tell me what you think. Personally, I've picked up more hobbies than I can keep up with (especially considering my "day job"). Shari is a chronic insomniac but otherwise surviving her job - relief apparently involves frequent trips to a beach of some kind. There are some additions to the photo albums (note plural) - and hopefully more on the way :)

4/20/2000
Well, we've had lots of fun stuff happen recently - Shari and I returned from Hawaii much tanner, there was a Kushwaha reunion at Pinehurst (only three of us actually played golf though), and Anya is official in the "terrible twos" stage - a couple months early. Hopefully this means she will pass this phase early too! There are lots of new pictures of Anya and I'm working on the family album.

2/6/2000
I'd like to announce, this website is now Y2K compliant :) That aside, we have escaped the great snowstorm of 2000 here in North Carolina with minimal damage. Not being much of a snow person, I wouldn't mind waiting till the next century before the next one. Anya, however, enjoyed her time out in the snow - she particularly liked eating the snow straight off the ground for some reason. There are some new pictures to her gallery along with more on the way.

11/15/1999
Well, another overdue update has finally been made. Anya is merrily expanding her horizons - as well as her reign of destruction... Some updated pictures have been posted with more to come soon.

6/30/1999
We have celebrated Anya first birthday and been though a very hectic few months here. There is a large number of photos for the album that have been accumulating for a while - this will make a huge update to the album. There will be some cosmetic changes on the website in the coming weeks - time for the annual tune-up too!

3/28/1999
Well, finally I've made a decent update to the photo album - Anya is now taking a step or two around, although she is much more dangerous motoring around on all fours. She is amazingly fast and quite fearless. Simply put, she is a terror...but that sweet smile of hers makes up for everything! Shari has been busy at work, as have I, and this is limiting more frequent updates, unfortunately. Hopefully the next update will be a little sooner.

1/20/1999
The album has not been updated recently due to problems with the digital camera. Unfortunately, I'm not happy with the pictures we have from the regular cameras right now - they'll still be a few new pictures soon. Shari has recently received word that she did indeed pass her Pediatrics boards - she's safe for another 10 years now!

11/23/1998
I'm changing a few things here - I will separate out the photo album into sections, expect some pictures to be inaccessible while I move them around. Anya's album is reorganized to show the latest pictures up first now. I'm also working on a few other features that I haven't decided yet to add to the site.

11/3/1998
We have returned from Houston where Shari finished taking her boards - while leaving the test, Shari has decided she will takes the boards in Hawaii next year. There will be some changes soon in the photo album page, but for now there has been another update.

10/14/1998
A quick update to post Anya's 4 month birthday pictures. She unfortunately is feeling a little under the weather after receiving her immunizations today - officially she is up to 13 lbs, 12 oz. today. Shari is getting frantic about her upcoming boards, and I am just bored. I have retooled the library somewhat - you can actually read most the texts now! I would have done that sooner, but there hasn't been any interest shown in that section by anyone!

10/8/1998
We've been busy working while Anya continues to grow. There are a couple new projects I have started, and Shari is busy preparing for her boards later this month. The pictures have been updated to continue the weekly gallery for Anya.

9/21/1998
Anya returns from her brief trip to the nation's capitol in fine (if not more whiney) fashion. We made it very clear she was not available for any intern position. There's some new pictures (most of them from today!)

9/13/1998
The photo album is updated to reflect Anya's 3 month birthday today! I will work on the new sections a bit more to make them look a little nicer. The chat section is ready to go - leave me an e-mail to set up a chat time.

9/2/1998
Time for another update - I have returned from my board certification exam with more energy and more spare time. Hopefully soon there may be a few more sections to the site (and maybe a few surprises...). Things are starting to settle in place now, and the house is slowly transforming into a home...a painfully expensive one, as my credit card bills would show!

8/13/1998
I finally get a chance to update the webpage again. We're getting settled in here in North Carolina - we've been here over 2 weeks, but our furniture (and computer!) just got here due to unfortunate circumstances. Today is Anya's 2 month birthday and there is is an update in the photo album as part of the celebration. I have been quite busy, so please be patient with more updates.

7/21/1998
Two happy occasions today - it's Shari's birthday today and the computer is fixed! Happily, no pictures were lost and the photo album has been updated. We will move to North Carolina later this week and will be busy settling in over the next few weeks I'm sure. I am slowly working on the library, it should be functional in a few more weeks. BTW the art gallery is complete, but I am still waiting for the family tree information.

7/16/1998
You may have noticed a lack of updates recently - my computer has been down and is still awaiting repairs. Hopefully, I have not lost any of the new pictures on the hard drive. There will be a large update when the computer is up again.

6/20/1998
Anya does not like sleeping much at night. Unfortunately, mommy and daddy do...this is a problem. (Hopefully not for very long!) There are some new pictures in the album and all the galleries are up - tell me what you think of them, what should be added, etc.

6/14/1998
Anya Kiran Kushwaha arrived 9:03pm on 6/13/08 at 8 lbs 1 oz, 20 3/4 inches in length, and APGARs of 9 and 10. And yes, we had to come get her via induction - someone had to hurry things up! Baby is doing just fine, and mom & dad are trying to get sleep while they can. Look for new photos in the album.

6/10/1998
Well, for starters, this page is finally up! Part of the library and some of the galleries are up, but not operational. The family tree is not up and will take some time. Anya is being very fickle in deciding when she wants to come...she keeps changing her mind - I'm told that I should get used to this. Expect a full addition to the photo album when she comes (if not by Saturday, we'll come and get her!) Look for an update soon...
